| SP-YII | On 8.08.2020, in the morning, the pilot-owner arrived by plane at the airport in Kętrzyn. After a short stop at the airport, the pilot planned to fly to Suwałki. After starting the engine, it taxied to the threshold of runway 15. There was a passenger on board. There were about 60 litres of car gasoline in the tanks. At 10:38 a.m., the plane began its take-off roll. After about 300 m, it broke away from the grassy surface of the airfield and went up a steep climb without any holding phase. At an altitude of 15÷20 m, with a clearly decreasing speed, he started a turn to the right and fell on the wing. The impact with the ground, already off the runway, occurred at a high angle, first with the tip of the right wing and then with the front of the fuselage/cabin. The plane came to rest on the turf, remaining with its tail raised high. The crew left the wreck on their own. There was no fire. After the accident, an ambulance stationed at the airport arrived at the scene. A doctor and nurse gave first aid to the victims, while stating that they had not suffered any injuries. A PKBWL expert who was present at the scene secured the documentation of the incident. |
