Photo Remarks
'U.10' on display at the National Air and Space Museum. This D.VII of Jasta 65 was captured when Lt. Heinz Freiherr von Beaulieu-Marconnay landed his aircraft at an American airfield on Nov. 9, 1918, two days before the end of the war. Considered to be a formidable opponent, the Armistice specifically required the Luftstreitkräfte to surrender all D.VIIs to the Allies.
